Crucial 256 ssd $179.99 Egg with code

rep+ for OP. These will drop lower but I need one now.

tigerdirect also has them for 179.99 FS. They have a $10 off coupon too for new customers, but the coupon offer seemed to pop off after randomly browsing their site and it does take a couple of days to receive the coupon link.

Silly question, but are all Crucial m4 256GB 7mm height, or are some 9.5mm? Doesn't matter for my purchase but think I keep seeing different numbers, and I'm curious.

Most are 9.5mm but I think they have one model that is 7mm. I would check the model against crucials site to see if it is the thicker ones or not. I believe most samsung drives are 7mm.

Tiger Direct also participates in various cashback offers, so check before placing your order.

They are mixed. I think they were originally 9.5mm, but they came out with 7mm more recently. You need to check model numbers to make sure. For these deals which do not include any "kit" (no software/tray/adapters):

CT256M4SSD1 is the 7mm drive

CT256M4SSD2 is the 9.5mm drive

Thus...

Newegg 9.5mm

Amazon 9.5mm

Buy.com 9.5mm

Tiger Direct 9.5mm

Tiger Direct 7mm

So, if you need the 7mm drive, Tiger Direct has it. Just make sure you order the proper part number.

Buy.com has it for the same price (prior to coupon)
http://www.buy.com/prod/crucial-m4-2...375.html?ro=&&
But it also has a 10 dollar off coupon making it 10 dollars cheaper than the egg (click the link below, and then choose redeem coupon once the item is in your cart.)
http://www.buy.com/retail/coupon.asp?prid=82955137&&

So 169.99+Free Shipping

That is 66 cents per GB

First time customers only FYI (don't suggest defrauding them with alternate email etc.)

especially true if you shop at stop n shop or giant supermarkets. (20% off on most gift cards)

you can get also get 5% from discover card (legit) and they have a point system that gives back 1 % min. so 169 can be clean from buy dot com with out a lot of effort. frankly any one that reads these deals closely in the states should have;
1)paypal
2) chase card
3)discovercard
4)belong to a rebate sites like ebates or mr rebates or fat wallet. the savings are huge on lots of gear and other items if you understand what to do. Every year I save 2 to 3 k with deals on items I need. Plus I sell some of the stuff to support my computer and audio tests.
