I think it's actually 256mb, since the price on Crucial.com has been dropping, and from the overproduction of DDR modules it's expected to go down to about $30-$35 for a 256mb.

Is Crucial memory DIMM or SODIMM?
It should be a hot deal if it is SODIMM (for laptop).

If it was 512 I'd be all over it. Guess I'll keep watching crucial.com for it to drop even more...

I was reading the fine print on the 10% and $10 GC coupons and in the fine print for the 10% coupon it says "Not good in combination with other coupons or offers." So does this mean that I can't use the $10 GC coupon at the same time I use the 10% coupon???

Use in conjunction with the 10% coupon this weekend... $99.99-42 IR = 57.99-10% = 52.19-28 MIR = $24.19 not including any taxes. Not a bad deal at all.

Westbury, NY store was sold out well before noon Sunday. Made the trip and left empty-handed. Oh well, I guess I'll be watching prices on Crucial's site for the next few weeks...

Get a raincheck!!!
back long ago the last time memory was cheap, I got a Raincheck for Crucial DDR at Best Buy. Great thing was, they never actually took the raincheck from me (Raincheck was for 3 modules, I always took 2 up to the counter and convinced them that I wanted to come back for the 3rd). As RAM prices went up, I kept buying at the low price. Ended up getting 8 modules out of the deal.

YMMV

Dang! I was just there this morning and didn't know about this deal. Guess that's what I get for not checking out AT before I go a'shoppin'!

btw, Crucial rebates come real quick. makes this deal even hotter, imo!

I see no mention of exactly what's on these crucial modules...

What's the ns rating? CAS?
Anyone with experience running these current? modules o'c?

CAS2.5 PC2100 memory isn't THAT good a deal at $30, it'll be crazy dropping in price soon with rebates on Kingston, PNY, etc, and if you can then work a deal with a coupon.......

is there any way to tell what kind of RAM is installed in a machine without having to open it? I am running XP.

I went with the Office Max deal for Kingston 256MB DDR for 29.99, I then had a 10 off of 50 coupon so it was 19.99
