Go through Ebates - I just ordered one, Fedex 2day shipping free.
This is one of the best you can buy.
The ram prices seem to go up again, so hurry.

Ebates is only 5% off if you look at their web site. My crucial order only shows a "10% discount" while in my shopping cart...does it take more off later or are you adding the two together?

The "webpromo" link at crucial does say 15% off, but can't figure out how to get to that page using ebates. ebates doesn't let you go to a page that is not directly linked to their site...at least I haven't figured it out :( If you type in your own url, it takes you out of the ebates window.

Anybody who purchases directly off crucials website gets 15% off the "list price" by buying from them over the web...nothing special needs to be done to get this (call it a sale if you want...)

by going through ebates, they'll give you a rebate of 5% off any purchases you make from crucial (just like purchasing from any other vendor that you can go through ebates for)

I looked up my board, A Soyo SY-5EMA+, but it only list PC100. Can I put PC133 in this board? I would rather have PC133 if possible.

I opened 2 windows, one from webpromo page, and one from ebates, and the window under ebates is showing 15% discount.
When I went crucial page from ebates showed 10%.
Does it mean I'll get another 5% or whatever rebate from ebates later?

How well does this RAM overclock? Can you direct me to any online reviews of this RAM?

Thanks,

Does those CL 2 make big difference for even regular computing compared to cl 3?
I'm trying to order a piece of 256mb, but I'm not sure I'd better get cl 2 for me, web browsing and some video and photo editing.
Thanks.

For RAM reviews try this page.... ReviewFinder

If your going to go for very good RAM like Micron, you might as well do Cas2, unless the only reason you're even considering Micron is because you can get it for what you usually have to pay for PNY, Kingston, etc. Is Micron Cas3 better than, say, PNY Cas2 for example. Maybe. I would still pay the extra few buck's for the Micron Cas2.

The link to Micron direct for the 15% is also getting the free shipping Micron itself is offering. I would imagine the only improvement one could get is another 5% eBates assuming they let you get the 15% off instead of Micron's usual 10% off for web sales prices. Less than $5 for one stick of 128mb PC133 cas2....not worth it to let another company have my info. Now if you buy a lot of RAM or already have eBates account, why not try.

Bluesky: There is a difference in running at cas2 over 3. It may not be noticeable doing just web surfing. You get to gaming, graphics, and more CPU intensive operations, then you will notice. More important is it if you intend to overclock. Example: PC100 cas2 may need to be used at cas3 to overclock for 133 for most RAM, but if you already have cas3 PC100, it won't even boot up for 133. Just an opinion gathered from reading others takes on subject as I have yet to play with overclocking myself.

I ordered 2 sticks of 128 for 92.50 at buy.com with free shipping and used a 30 off of 150 coupon. Have to pay tax with crucial, dont have to pay tax with buy.com. Total came to 155.00 shipped. So thats 77.50 per stick shipped. Not a bad deal.

I looked at Buy.com too, but I think those are cas3 sticks. (7.5 listed as 8ns). The same stick at Crucial is $73.94 + tax so you still did better (slightly, if 6% tax = $78.18). I would go for that if they had cas2 available, especially if they still have them 15+3 Box of Titanium Top-Flites for $9.99.

This is the cas2 stick its the 7E. The same stick that crucial will send you. I know this because I had ordered one from crucial about a month ago when the ram was alot higher. The price droped and crucial has a 30 day return so I sent it back and ordered from buy.com. I recieved the same exact memory from buy.com that crucial sent me a 7E cas2 stick and same crucial part number. So I save 17 more per stick 34 more for the order from buy.com

I'm not sure how you guys got the 15% off. I'm looking to get some laptop ram and that extra 5% off would really help. What should I type for the code? Thanks.
