If you want the best CRT's, get a NEC imo.
Excellent monitors.
LCD's are good because: They take up A LOT less space which look much nicer, easier on the eyes, possible wide screen support depending on the monitor, less power usage.
Ghosting is no longer a problem with the LCD's with 12ms or lower, with 16ms, its not that bad but noticable if your coming from a good CRT.
LCD's are also very bright, could be a plus or negative.
For me, i'd take a LCD simply for the wide screen, the dell 2005 or 2405.
