CRT Problem

I turn on my monitor, the green light comes on, but the screen stays black. also it makes a wierd buzzing noise? anyone know whats wrong and about how much it will cost to fix it. this originally cost me $250

sounds like your monitor is going to monitor heaven. you know, about dead. either way though, no higher than monitor prices are anymore, especially crt, you would be better off to buy a new one. i just bought a brand new gateway 17in flat screen crt for 42.00 bucks plus shipping. new in the box.
