CRT or TFT?

I play online mostly and have a 19" CRT monitor 85Hz which is great.

I'm looking at getting a 19" TFT but have a few concerns.

1. Will the picture be the same as the CRT?
2. Are TFT's prone to ghosting?
3. Whats the best 19" TFT around?
4. What other things should I look out for when purchasing?

1) If you mean picture sharpness, then it`ll be slightly better.
2) Some are. 16ms responce times models dont ghost. And good 25ms ones dont either.
3) Not sure. But unlike CRTs, a 19" TFT is actually 19" in screen size and not including the bezel. So you might be able to get away with a 17" TFT. And there are plently of decent 17" TFTs around.
4) Contrast Ratio. A higher ratio will mean a brighter picture. Look for something above 400:1.

Good 19" models like the Samsung 191T and 192T ,you should get one that has DVI input (both the models I meantioned have DVI input).
Using DVI will give the best possible image quality(assuming your video card has DVI output).

Contrast ratio can be misleading has some companies bump the contrast specs up and actually have worst contrast ratio then some lower contrast spec models.
