Crt monitor options for 250?

I think I'm going to try to increase my budget to 250. Here's why: I want something that will last, I'm never going with a lcd screen, they suck. Some options I'm seeing are:

Nec FE991
Viewsonic P95F

Haha I'd like the nec 930 but that way outta my budget. What do you think? I've heard NEC monitors do not last at all but I've also heard viewsonic has some serious manufacturing problems as well. Feel free to post photos of any of these. Thanks.

This site was in hot deals a while ago. I have bought 2 x 21" trinitrons from them for $250 and $330 shipped. Both were in very good condition and the $250 one I bought 2 years ago is still running strong. Great monitors for the price.

I'd rather not get a refub. I was going to but I was reading about all the problems people have had. I'd be interrested to hear from P95f and FE991 users here. 🙂

So you have have had both? How do they compare then? I could also get the viewsonic G90F but it's a shadow mask. Which do you think has a longer lifetime?

yes i've had both and i like the viewsonic better. It just looks crisper to me. No idea about the lifetime

Ok sorry for all the bumps lol. I've heard that the P95F sometimes has a problem with the screen being 2 different qualites or something like that. Anyone know anything about that?

Seriously I have to ask here, there is no place I can go to check these monitors out lol, this is like my third thread on monitors lol.

Ok yea and one more question, the FE991 has a completly flat screen, how curved is the P95s screen?

NEC/MITSUBISHI 930SB for about 260$. Yea, the shipping is ~30$, but in total, it comes out to about 296$. Or that's what it cost for to ship to me in Pennsylvania. If you can spare about 45$ more, then I'd say you're in good shape. I recently ordered this exact same product from that site, and it came very quickly. Ordered on Saturday October 16, and it arrived in pristine, new condition on Tuesday October 19. I can't comment on the monitor itself yet, I'm waiting for more components to arrive. It's got plenty of good reviews and recommendations behind it though.

Don't know if you would be interested, but techonweb.com has a great rating on resellerratings.com and it's definetly one of the best prices I've seen from a reputable seller for it.
