But if you do some searching while i find the link, youll see that the Radeon X850XT PE runs at 540Mhz ( http://www.bjorn3d.com/read.php?cID=741 ). While the 7800 GTX (NEWER than the X850XTPE) only runs at 430Mhz ( http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardware/Previews/G70preview/ ). As you can see without a link (until i find it). It's common sense Nvidia is trying to compete with ATi by making a faster SINGLE GPU, 540Mhz > 430Mhz. So as you can see, Nvidia wants to make a faster video card, therefore they made the SLI which can compete against clockspeeds with the X850XT PE.

SLI (7800 GTX) - 430Mhz * 2 = 830Mhz
Crossfire (X850XT PE) - 540 * 2 = 1080Mhz

Nvidia doesn't suck ( I just prefer ATi ) =\ Humey your right about currently but once that R520/R580 is out, it's over 😉 But yea ATi is facing the same problems Nvidia had when ATi had the Radeon 9700 and Nvidia had nothing to put up to compete with it for a few months. The poster was claiming that nVidia's engineers were so far beyond ATi's that they were able to come up with a solution that obliterated ATi in response to a product ATi hadn't even paper launched yet- he may think he is loyal to ATi but what could you possibly say that is more d@mning to them then the competition slaughters their not even introduced top tier card before they can even get decent PR for it?

Nah, just taking a stab at some sarcasm as he was brining up what was likely the point in time where ATi has been further behind nV then they have in many years and holding that up as a triumph for them- to me it is akin to boasting about your favorite race car driver and pointing to the race he got lapped twenty times in as proof of how great he is 🙂
