crossfire tech.

I'm new to the feild and just wanna ask if nvidia cards can utilize the crossfire tech. and can ati be sli'ed ?

It is like those companies trade mark for using two cards. Ati is to crossfire and nVidia is to SLI. And I really don't think its worth the money of buying a compatible mobo and 2 video cards unless you are running ridiculous graphics intense games or maybe running a 28'' monitor or more.

haha Uhm .. cooler? I am not quite sure..Low budget people do not need to utilize crossfire or sli. Only high end gamers are the only people who really need it. If you are looking to build a high end gaming machine...I would say the best option is two HD 4870's in CF. After that I am not quite sure I have heard that the new 260's and 280's from nVidia are having some issues for some people. But since you are new to the field I suggest getting only one card and doing a low to mid range budget build until you get yourself accustomed to the parts and procedure of DIY computer builds.
