Crossfire issue when I try to launch 3D games or apps...

I'm having problems when I go to start a game even 3dmark. The monitor goes into stand by mode but I can here the game still launching to the game menu and then I ctrl+alt+del to get to the desktop. cards are in correct order, dogle cable is hooked properly, I've enabled crossfie check box in ATI CCC 6.6ver. I uninstalled the drivers before installing the cards, then reinstalled fresh.

Both cards are on different IRQ'S and my x-fi soundcard is not sharing video card IRQ'S which I heard can be a problem.

Must be a simple fix :-( I hope.

yup, known bug with Cat 6.6. DVI port + Crossfire = blank monitor (on certain models)
there is a beta driver that fixes the problem (search for 737-22664 at ati.com), but the beta drivers seems to have its own problems. i would wait for the 6.7 to be released and stick with the previous driver for now.

thanks for that guys. I went back to the 6.5ccc ver. and it's up and running. The reason I got the xtx was that I never new this info about the clock speed when running in crossfire, Ohh well.

CF runs asyncronously.

Matching cards are not required.
