CrossFire Build up

assuming you already have all the other hardware components (CPU, RAM, PSU, etc...), you just need a Crossfire board and the cards.

I was wondering because in the SLI.. they say that the board comes with the little bridge that connect the two cards at the other edge that isnt to the board...

The Crossfire board I have.. doesnt bring any of those bridges... for crossfire.. but i see some pictures of crossfire cards that have it...

Do all Crossifire cards need a connector between the two cards like in SLI all the time or is just some models????

Crossfire cards uses those bridges too, however they come with the cards and don't need to be purchased separately. What CPU do you have, or plan on getting? You can get the HD 3870 for a lot cheaper here or the Sapphire one for the same price.

That is other thing I was wondering.. which one is better.. Sapphire? HIS? Diamond? ASUS? The rest?

oh by the way I have a phenom... my board is M2R32-MVP... its a crossfire... however.. I dunno much about crossfire.. so i dunno what else i need to know... like.. is this board going to run any crossfire.. no matter the card? or its limited to some models like 2900 or 1900 and such??????

I ordered the Diamond card early this morning. It should be here tomorrow. I replaced a BFG 8800 GTS 640. I plan to go cross fire later, but wanted to see how one 3870 compared for a while. I have the Neo 2 FR IP35 based motherboard and absolutely love it, which is why I went to the 3870 over another probably faster GTS G92 card as I will not be able to SLI on this motherboard.

omg... the FedEx option is International Economy PR Only and dont give any detail on how much time it takes to arrive... and cost around 38 bucks...

The one day shipping is UPS and is for 108 bucks lol.... a bit more and i get another card in shipping lol.....

sup.. i am back .. i the crossfire... by the way the xfi is working now.. no more 8800 + mobo + xfi = no boot problem at all
