Cross Over Cables

Uhm.. I don't know the convention so I want to know what kind of cables I need for the following.

From 3Com NIC to Linkys Router = ?
From Linksys Router to DSL modem = ?

Jason

Both will be regular patch cables. Unless your router is different than mine.... use the cable that came with the modem there I guess.

You can think of patch cables as connecting between different kinds of devices. Crossovers do the opposite..

They told me first

You told me second

What you guys said matched

Plus you told me your rule of how to tell for the future..

Thanks again

Jason

both use the regular, unless you want to stick one into the "uplink" slot, then you need a cross over
