I've seen them (been inside them) and believe me the pictures look better because they are so far away. A car that's a POS can look decent far away too. ;)

It's not like they are aliens doing this shit. With all the dumb shit going on in DC they would have fixed that place a long time ago. ;)

Competent surveyors could do that in a few hours without much difficulty.

Edit:
I could probably do it quicker than it's taking this video to fully load :^S

I was just having this conversation the other day. Do you really believe that aliens exist that are intelligent enough to build spacecraft that can travel between solar systems in a reasonable amount of time and:
1. Found us.
2. Decided not to announce their presence or agreed to go along with a government plot to hide their existence.
3. Aren't smart enough to clean up their own footprints.

It's people, if aliens wanted to communicate, I'm sure they could find a better way.

The first crop circles were done as a prank:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crop_circle

In 1991, two men from Southampton, England, announced that they had conceived the idea as a prank at a pub near Winchester, Hampshire. Inspired by the 1966 Tully Saucer Nests, Doug Bower and Dave Chorley made their crop circles using planks, rope, hats, and wire as their only tools: using a four-foot-long plank attached to a rope, they easily created circles eight feet in diameter. The two men were able to make a 40-foot (12 m) circle in 15 minutes.
The pair became frustrated when their work did not receive significant publicity, so in 1991, they created a circle in Matterley Bowl, a natural amphitheatre just outside Winchester, Hampshire—an area surrounded by roads from which a clear view of the field is available to drivers passing by. Their designs were at first simple circles. When newspapers claimed that the circles could easily be explained by natural phenomena, Bower and Chorley made more complex patterns. A simple wire with a loop, hanging down from a cap—the loop positioned over one eye—could be used to focus on a landmark to aid in the creation of straight lines. Later designs of crop circles became increasingly complicated.
Bower's wife had become suspicious of him, noticing high mileage in their car. Eventually, fearing that his wife suspected him of adultery, Bower confessed to her, and subsequently, he and Chorley informed a British national newspaper. Chorley died in 1996, and Doug Bower has made crop circles as recently as 2004. Bower has said that, had it not been for his wife's suspicions, he would have taken the secret to his deathbed, never revealing that it was a hoax.

It has been repeatedly demonstrated how easy it is to create the complex patterns. ET is not spending time in fields creating patterns. Ghosts aren't doing it either nor any form of psychic energy.

Please, just stop with this stuff already.

Personally I have a hard time believing people think aliens are the more plausible answer.

Seconded, or is it thirded?

There are shows that demonstrate them doing this stuff, so I don't know how its so difficult to believe.

Likewise, there's a clip of a guy that used like two big wooden beams and some rocks to move his two story house quite a ways in like half an hour.

With the proper tools and know how you can do crazy stuff.

I saw a show how they did it. It was a very simple process with very simple tools used.

Humans can be quite crafty, especially bored attention whores. I think it is insulting to humanity to say that a couple of guys with some simple tools and a basic knowledge of geometry cannot pull crop circles off. I also think it is insulting to humanity when people claim that The Pyramids (or other ancient structure) had to be constructed by aliens because people could not figure it all out.

When they were making the movie "Signs", a reporter asked the producer how they created the crop circles. He said they couldn't figure out how to bend the corn stalks without breaking them. They eventually had to bring in a consultant from Mars. "That's fantastic!" exclaimed the reporter. "Yeah," the producer replied, "but those guys aren't cheap...and get this- they wouldn't take a check, they wanted gold bullion."

i think it is completely logical that an alien race of superior intelligence would master space travel just to discreetly fly to distant planets hosting civilizations of less intelligence just to produce obscure crop circle in their farm fields. Really.

Outhouse, many people have irrational beliefs. You aren't the first and you won't be the last.

Think of it as their version of "Cow Tipping."

Obviously, these are the hicks of alien civilization. Also explains the probe.

Naw, don't take us to yer leader. We're just here to whittle some.

HAH this is awesome.

As for the thread, I'm a sceptic with an open mind. I believe that there certainly could be aliens that are intelligent and have mastered space travel, even ones that may be here or nearby, but there were several things in that video that threw up red flags for me.

First of all, they used clear, human-readable images. It was very accessible to humans, used binary, and was generally too direct. If there's a silicon-based alien lifeform from another galaxy I would think that we would be so different direct communication would be almost impossible.

On the other hand, I won't rule it out without further evidence.
