1. Shuttle XPC Barebone System for Socket A at 266/333MHz FSB AMD CPU, Model SK43G
2. Lite-On 48X24X48X16 Combo Drive
3. Hitachi 80GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
4. 2x Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, 184 Pin 256MB DDR PC-2700
5. AMD Athlon XP 2500+ "Barton", 333 FSB, 512K Cache Processor - Retail

The only question I really have is about the memory. With the PC-2700, the ram will run synchronously? spelling with the FSB, but the mobo can handle ddr 400. So do i stick with ddr 333 or get ddr 400??

As you have not listed a Graphics card I assume you will be using the integrated graphics. In that case you want all the Bandwidth you memory can muster. The chipset supports DDR400 so get ONE DDR400 Memory module. even if the CPU won't use the extra bandwidth, the integrated graphics unit sure will.

But even so, this is a VIA SINGLE channel chipset and there it is generally the best to put in the fastest module it can handle. This always improves speed, as the memory controller is never 100% efficient. DDR400 also only works reliably with only one Module installed, so don't get two modules if you want this particular system. If you get an NForce2 System like the SN45 series then 2 modules are in order.

EDIT: Otherwise you have yourself a very nice SFF ;)

I can't believe i forgot the shuttle with the nforce2:eek:

Anyways I just bought the one with the nforce2 and the integrated video (for my NON-GAMER sister). I did stick with the 2 sticks of pc-2700 since now I have a dual channel setup.

I REALLY can't believe i forgot the nforce2!!:eek::eek: Thanks for reminding me!!
