i've been working on the web page for my research lab, and i've finally got most of it up. give me some feedback please. i'd be especially interested in learning about any compatibility issues you guys might have w/ all the different browsers you guys use.

EDIT: guys with mozilla and/or firebird, can you pull up this page and tell me if you see the publications listed w/ numbers instead of just w/ bullets? it looks right in IE, but not firebird.....ARGH. i used an ordered list from within dreamweaver.....does anyone know what i'd have to allow this to work for individuals w/ firebird?

nice and clean.

i think the Cornell logo might look better in the left corner.

xp pro sp1
ie 6 (all latest updates)
1024x768

I'm at 1280x1024 and there's this giant patch of blank white space on the right side of the screen.

Otherwise, looks nice.

trash! j/k

nice...very clean and corporate. are those css layer drop down or dhtml?

BTW the background color change for the Dr.Luo section makes the text hard to read.

Nice site.
I'm at 1024 x 768 and there is a big portion of the screen (to the right) that is totally white!!!

It's a good practice since the best resolution any designer should set for their site is 800 X 600

thanks for the compliments and suggestions. about the links/text in the dark area - i've been meaning to change it, i just need to find a color combo that i like.

there should be white area to the right - i fit the viewable area so that it would fit perfectly in an 800x600 window, so that means systems with higher resolutions will sit smaller within the screen. does it detract too much from the overall design?

change the image bg rollover, that is annoying lol. but i figure u didnt mean for it to happen.

i wish there was a way to have like when you roll over a link, and hover for a few seconds, it gives you like a preview of the first few sentences, that would be sweet. sorta like what is in vbulletin, but make it so you have to actually hover, not just immediate.

Cornell is in Ithica right? My best friend was considering going there for grad school (Microbiology of all things), but then was accepted to Columbia ^_~ Nice page though!

I can't read the e-mail address nor the "about Professor Luo" links because the blue font does not go with that background color. I suggest changing that.

excellent! i love the menus. btw, speaking of cornell my cousin got accepted to cornell, Upenn, rice, columbia, and brown this year! which did he choose? your school!

ok well i couldn't find any color for the links that i liked, but i changed it so that when you hover over the links on the home page, the color is more visible.....i still need to try and figure something out though.
