I don't like splash pages, but other than that it's pretty good looking. No crazy animations, no flash.

Which are a half a screen long. Your text seems a little to un organized. Either off centered or disarranged from the pictures.
 

Take out the 'disclaimer/requirements' thing. I really dislike when people put those at the bottom of their pages. It might have been applicable 5-8 years ago, but now, most browsers will be able to display your page. And if they don't have the right equipment, they're gonna leave. Don't think that they'll actually adapt to YOUR page. YOUR page will have to adapt to them.

That's why XHTML 1.0 Strict is nice.

But read it... It's just a little humorous.. My final design probably won't have a disclaimer..

Hmm.. Are you talking about just on "Welcome to the future home of ..." site? That's intentional and temporary.. As far as the rest of the site - i'll look into it.. I don't want a totally by the book design with perfect alignment but i'll check if anything is distracting..thanks!

P.S. Please read the disclaimer, requirements.. I figure most people wont but, after reading it, do you think it should still be taken out?

I don't think that's it, I have tried to access several other RippleHost websites and none of them are responding. My AddAction hosted website isn't responding either.

I think there must be an issue at the datacenter (NAC possibly) which they're probably looking into.

WTF do you expect for only $9.99/yr? I swear I'm glad that I don't host all AT'ers, they'd drive me up the frickin' wall.

On a good note, sites that I am hosting (such as rallispect.net and neffing.com) are working just fine, then again they're hosted at ThePlanet.com

Hey Rossman, I didn't mean to offend you at all... I was just reacting to how the site doesn't work well under stress- totally understandable since I paid next to nothing for it.. I also stand by my statement that I will switch when my site goes live.. It's not to disrespect ripplehost- damn good service for the price but it's obviously not in the same league as more expensive hosts that share 3 times their yearly rate per month.. I'm not upset with them or frustrated or anything.. Just making an observation..

By the way, I think ripplehosting is worth every penny JUST for the pop3 mail accounts that I use through them.. not to change the subject (I feel bad because ross hooked me up with ripplehost), see my site and comment, please.. I want this site to be like an online portfolio of all my work so it's pretty important to me..

No offense taken, I just wish people would remove their heads from their arses and would ask themself "what do you expect for only $10/yr?"

Also I disagree that RippleHost "doesn't handle stress well" I'm sure they're having datacenter/server problems right now and are working on it. Try "stressing" their server when it's back up and running, it should perform just fine.

Don't expect a Chevy Corvette if you're only willing to pay for a Cavalier.
