So this is a fresh build with the intention of high performance without wasting any money. Please let me know if you see anywhere where I can save money or spend a little more for some real performance gains. Also let me know if I'm forgetting anything, besides the obvious fans and thermal paste.
PC is for gaming and some hardcore internet usage.
Budget is around a grand
Buying parts from US
No brand preference, just high performance.
No Current parts, fresh build
Def open to overclocking to save money and gain cheap performance.

How can I save money or gain performance for cheap? Am I correct in assuming that this would run games like Crysis on very high settings? (except of course for AA)
I've been out of the building world for about two years now so all of these choices were made from reading around on the forum, hoping I put them all together well.
If it's appropriate I plan on waiting for prices on the 8800 to go down a little then buying another to run sli. That will be nice.
I'm also aware that I'll be running Vista 64 to utilize all 4gigs of memory, not really looking forward to that, I just uninstalled Vista Ultimate 32 from my laptop I'm using now and installed Windows XP Dark edition, Vista was just taking away to much performance, but then again I only have 1gig of ram on my laptop.
