I am looking for input on this build.

It is primarily a PC for gaming but also video playing and web surfing.

Going to re-use my monitor and other peripherals.
Not planning on overclock anything except the memory.

It honestly looks good to me. If you can afford to buy it, then by all means do it.

Looks great!

I would suggest to find someone in the FS/FT section with a Full Retail version of Vista Ultimate as I have found, and you might find it for 160$ I'm sure there are a couple of them threads floating around there still.

Basically the Full Retail is the same thing just you don't have to activate windows everytime you upgrade a piece of hardware.

Where are you finding a Q9650 for $263?

Rampage Formula is overrated, go for the EP45-UD3P for ~$120 instead.

Otherwise looks great, enjoy your build!

I wondered what the main difference was there. Was there any particular person you bought from who might have more?

Retail OS = Can be loaded on any single machine (also can be loaded on your desktop as well as laptop at the same time).

OEM OS = Locked to a certain component or certain machine for life.

Looks good. However, you would be fine with 4GB of RAM, no real need for 8GB.

Also, as others have said, the motherboard isn't worth the price. Also, might want to consider a Core 2 Duo rather than the Core Quad. No real benefit for gaming with the Quad Core. But it's your money.
