Frame is okay to use, but best to stay away.

Try to keep every page bg consistence, because the changes of gaudy colours & texture are annoying to the eyes from page to page.

Another thing is you might want design a tasteful logo or banner for the header.

And remember the golden rule of KIS.

my mum's working on the logo. As for the frames, consensus seems to be either kill them in whole or lose the borders. The background i'd like to keep similar within variation if needed. AND..i have no idea what KIS is...

IMHO.......ICE that fscker "Dale" on the picture page, that pr!ck and those like him are the reason I(and others) pay so fricken much to insure a Sportbike. Other than that, I have no problem with the frames...the color has to change and I would prefer only one pic on the main page.......something that makes a statement about the "motorcycle club."

Dale is a very skilled rider. As motorcyclists, we all pay high premiums b/c of the other idiots on the road as well. In general, people have no regard for motorcyclists and think that we're able to stop on a dime or can get out of any situation. In my experience, i've found that i HATE driving near old people as they seem to be the most inconsiderate drivers around bikers, but let's keep this topic focued on the website :)

Technical reason - Can't book mark, can't print, can't tell which page you are on when click on link, and it can create problem with cgi.

You might want to look at using table instead of frame, another venue is to use cgi to create dynamic resizing borders if you are keen.

tables, i don't know how many times i can say use tables. the green and black isn't all that bad, but those big buttons and roll overs need to go.

You have "all members" spelled wrong (on the front page) fyi.

Also, how do you go about building a webpage (I would like to build one) and how do you "steal" the format of another page?

It looks very amatuerish to me with the frames and the animated gifs. Also I think maybe one very nice image on the opening page would suffice with all the other images available in gallery links.

I was following a couple links on your site and that was listed as being a great place to ride . It's not too far from where I live .

Google search for web design & html tutorials, and view source & save the page/format that you like.

I'd suggest changing everything that's green to plain white. Making a cool title banner would help, rather than the text. Ditch the frames, and use a table layout template instead for each page.

Try this site. It will help you learn. Steal by View->Source, copy and paste code, make it better. The sign of a good programmer is his/her ability to improve on what someone else has already programmed.

A few key things to do with ANY site design...like was said before:
- use colors that are gentle on the eyes. Blue on Red sucks.
- If you want a background image, make it unintrusive to the text that's on it. Generally, a solid color is fine.
- Animated GIF suck. I try to use only animated gifs where it serves a purpose or is small and not IN YOUR FACE!
- Use widely availble fontys in your design if you decide to use something other than arial, verdana, helvetica, etc. If the person doesn't have that specific font, they can't see it.
- If you can avoid frames, i'd suggest it. Frames are kinda difficult to upkeep in comparison to non-frames sites. And if you do use frames, make the frames invisible and that they will look right in any size resolution.
- Pick a color scheme and stick to it ALL through your site.
- Do a few basic designs and ask other people. Usually, someone that's looked at it for a few hours can't tell if it sucks or not. Opinions help.

....i'd like to think my web design skills are semi-proferssional to professional. If you'd like to pick my brain on a few things, just PM me. I wouldn't mind helping you with a few design sections myself either, time permitting. Good luck.
