I skipped right to the part where the webpage leaves off and it sound way different as far as details go. Besides, how do you explain the pics?

I dunno, I just wanna know the resolution so I can sleep tonight. My sister tapped my shoulder 5 minutes ago cuz my music was turned up too loud and I couldn't hear through the headphones and I jumped a little bit out of my seat.

There is no resolution. That's what makes it so creepy.

Snopes anyone?

Read the link I added. It has the ending. Also, those pictures can be taken in caves that have similar openings, The tip off for me was that somehow one of the spelunkers had taken a picture of himself going HEADFIRST into the cave... when he was the only one who could go in that way, so there was no one at that point in the story who could take a picture of his face. Add in a lot of boring, extraneous detail, and you have a thinly disguised rip-off of a short story.

Explain the pics? Bear with me here:

1. Buy camera.
2. Buy glove.
3. Locate cave.
4. Drive to cave with camera and glove.
5. Find a hole in the cave wall.
6. Place glove in hole.
7. Point camera.
8. Take picture.
9. Post picture on website.
10. You just lost a bunch of money doing all this sh|t, no profit.

True, but still, even the pic of the one guy who is the supposed narrator still gives me enough fear just because thinking about being stuck like that, only able to move an inch at a time. Besides, what about the difference in the size of the hole and the tools they made and stuff? Seems kind of a waste.

read the pdf file

Doesn't seem quite the same, I'll have to start it from the beginning. I went to the part where the webpage leaves off and I start reading about skeletons and skulls. Sounds like it could get even scarier, although knowing that it's fake kinda ruins the sense and captivation.

I'm in the process of reading the cave story.. but so far, it's definitely NOT something I should be reading at 3:52am.. definitely a day-time read.. same with the black eyed kids one.. that was freaky.

Edit: Oh.. nevermind, I was on the last page of the cave story.. maybe he died? lol

Same thing I was thinking. I told Sheepathon to read it and he said he'd check it out tomorrow and I was like yeah, during the day is better probably.

Thanks for linking that pdf! I didn't know it was a rip off story. I like the original better but the ending of the rip off is creepier.

Since I am supposed to be studying, I read that entire cave story.

Good story, great story writing(seems pretty fictional to me), but the ending was weak. Not just the fact that it wasn't ended, I actually think that's a good touch, but just the way everything happened after they left the cave for the last time.

Well, the PDF also says "My Journal notes begin December 30, 2001". I didn't look around the page but it would be nice to know exactly which story came first. Regardless, the first webpage linked read like shens to begin with so I knew something was odd. His journal notes don't read like _journal_ notes.

"Joe" took the picture of him headfirst. If you recall, Joe is the 3rd guy who is skinnier and goes in first. When Ted was going through, Joe took a picture of him. It stated that directly on the page.

One things for sure, It really rekindled my childhood imagination of wanting to explore caves in hopes of finding something.

I just read the entire 'real' cave story(I'm still supposed to be studying). Better ending, but still not great compared to the rest of the story. Leaves too many questions unanswered, and not in the good way.

Black eyed kids is a wee bit spooky, even in the afternoon

Hell, the cave one was nuts too ... I have a touch of the claustrophobe in me too, and can't imagine getting out of the cave without a heart attack!

I thought the cave one was scarier. I'm a bit claustrophobic though. That has something to do with it I'm sure.

Does anybody have any real life creepy experiences to share? :D
