Creepy continental flight intro?

So on our recent trip to and from Belize we flew Continental Airlines. Never flown them before. Anyway on the flight they had an intro from the CEO of Continental Jeff Smisek on the entertainment system. I can't seem to find a youtube version of it but it came across as really strnage and even a bit creepy to me. Anyone else who has flown continental recently agree?

Not diving but snorkelling yes. Fantastic snorkelling. Got to see and touch nurse sharks and rays as well as see tons of beautiful coral and fish!

I plant to start learning to dive soon.

I don't know. His delivery seems really strange to me, disingenuous. Maybe it comes from me being Canadian and us not used to seeing direct messages like that. It's feels sort of "big brotherish" only from a corporate point of view.

last time i flew CO was from tokyo to huston. man was i beat. worst long haul trip i ever had.

While on the otherside of the world, New Zealand had the most chill, informal, flight safety video. When I was down there, it obviously got my attention. It was my first time in NZ, and from then on, I couldn't take anyone there seriously. It seemed everyone was just chill, and not so serious

You have the weirdest emotions ever.
Anyway, no. Not creepy. Just annoying after flying with them on over 24 flights in year.

This one is creepy too, as the camera zooms in I expect he is going to reveal some evil plot that you are unable to escape as the plane begins to take off.

They usually play those to distract you from the weird noises the engine makes when they start it, usually when there's a problem with it.
