Looks like the race for the bottom is causing some banks to reject those with money or those who can manage their credit.

Destinations, a state-chartered credit union, has served a "very credit-challenged field of members,"

Destinations aired its first cable television ad, in the Parkville area, a few months ago, Vittek said.

Although business has been difficult in recent years, credit unions have worked to keep fees low.

Destinations, a state-chartered credit union, has served a "very credit-challenged field of members," Vittek said.

Join the Friends of the Red Cross and you become eligible to be a member of the Credit Union! To become a member of the Friends of the Red Cross, print the application and fill it out, bring it to the Credit Union, or mail it with your Credit Union application.

I can think at least one ATP&L poster this may benefit. Just trying to help those who are tired of banks who only cater to the man!

1.Title is so misleading as to not even apply.
2. Article referenced is a month old and much of the information in it is no longer valid.
3. Callout.

And I wonder where that credit union will go once those "credit-challenged" start defaulting at their usual rates?

I don't see anywhere in the article about the Credit union "rejecting those with high net worth and good credit rating"

That sounds like an infarction to me.

Of course they are going to advertise to the lower credit score people. Because they can charge them higher rates on loans.

Quoted for all to enjoy should you try to delete your tantrum. :D

If you knew anything at all you would realize that's how I talk to dumb fucks like you.

Predatory lending in all it's filthiness. Just go try and buy a car with $10,000 cash and you'll see what I'm talking about. You'll get "re-directed" by most used car lots. People forget that Finacial "Services" are often just offers of enslavement. "PLEEAASE borrow from me now so you can owe me more later. Just sign here." My dream is to someday return to how I was financially as a child, with a credit score of 0. "Credit scores are for poor people" -Dave Ramsey

As we as a nation continue to oppress and enslave the poor, we are gaining for ourselves a curse.

Historically credit unions always did trend towards the lower end of the credit scale. I ditched them a long time ago when I realized my commercial bank was lower on all normal interest rates (mortgage, car) and higher on savings interest (pretty irrelevant these days).

Good place for someone starting out though.
