For lending purposes, your qualifying credit score is almost always the middle of the scores from the 3 bureaus. In your case, the 614. The higher and lower ones are disregarded.

No. THis one was a "computer books direct".

The guy asked me a few questions and he said it would be removed in 30-45 days. If it is still there, i will be calling back. I didn't discuss payment or anything like that.

When i searched I found the same things as you.

Yes, both the accounts were paid in full.

I have been reading on CreditBoards.com and found this out. A Debt collector cannot say an account is past due, it is an FDCPA violation.

Well this debt company did just that. Based on some threads I am seeing I can take them to court or get them to settle with some cash coming my way. Anyone ever dealt with this? Thanks.

So I got an experian credit things for 30 days. It says my score is 511.

Then I hope on equifax. They say it is 614

Then transunion says I have a 624

Which is more accurate? The 511 is really bugging me.

Thanks

They are different because of various factors. Some places look at all three and place more weight on the lowest, some places only look at one or two reporting agencies.

Check to see if there are things on Experian that aren't on the other two. If there are, count your blessings and move on.

Check to see if there are things on the other two that aren't on Experian. If there are, then try to get them reported to Experian.

Any secrets? I have only been able to get one card, and my limit is only $500. I am trying to get some of my charged-off account removed from my report as the agencies said they would.

Other than that. I have some school loans. All of which I plan to have paid off except for one well before I graduate.

If you need these through the actual sites, then your equifax score is more accurate. It is a true FICO, vs. the other scores which are most likely FAKO. HOWEVER, your score is based on THAT report for THAT bureau, so your FICO for experian, for instance, instead of the Plus Score (what they use) could be 520 for instance, or it could be 505.

The fact that your Experian credit report is over a 100 points off from your Transunion FAKO makes me concerned. I would look at that report and find out what is causing it to drop so much. Extra inquiries, collections accounts, etc.

Obtain your true credit score from http://www.myfico.com

I signed up for myFico free trial about 5 months ago. I will be buying some credit monitoring services for a year soon. Which one would you say is the best? Thanks.

I use truecredit and score watch (although the latter is unneeded)

Yep... because how can an account be past due, if there was never any contract with the debt collector in the first place? Accounts have to be in writing, and signed by the consumer/alleged debtor.

Debt Collectors will report their "purchased accounts" as "Installments" on your credit reports, which is a violation as well.

The Experian is the one that is 511. I only found one difference between it and the others, that has been taken care of. I will find out for sure in 30-45 days.
