Cosigning a loan is the worst thing you can do. I did it for my daughter a few years ago and now I am stuck paying for a 1998 Gran Am. The car is in my possesion and she will never get it back. I cannot buy a house now because of this car loan and I can't sell it because it isn't worth what's owed on it. :( What happens to you when your GF decides to dump you ? That's right, she gets pissed and skips a few payments and you get stuck with the payments and/or a bad credit report.

See? His DAUGHTER...

there is a reason all of these people are telling you it was a bad idea to co-sign for her. perhaps you should listen and try to change the situation ASAP.

and could you explain that reason to me, Mr. knows-more-about-my-gf-than-I-do ? thanks cause it might help

Because having been in F&I I have heard the cosigning sob stories. Other than that you credit is great although the 754 may be a little misleading since other things go into your ability to get credit.

Might take a long time to get that good score but only takes a bad day for it to turn for the worst. Better hope the relationship can last, at least until your gf pays off the car.
