im looking to transfer my balance to a new credit card. im trying to find one that has a rewards program, but one thats worthwhile. like bank of america has a travel card, and i love to travel, but the things all start at 25,000 points. and with only getting 1,000 for applying, i'd have to spend 24,000 dollars to get a reward.

anyone got a good suggesstion?

AMEX Starwood Preferred Platinum

1 point for $1
min 2000 pts for free nights at hotels like Sheraton, Westin, W, Four Points, etc
points transferrable to miles....1 point = 1.25 miles
4000 bonus points for signing up (not sure if this is still being offered)
1000 bonus points for signing up a second cardholder
no fee first year

i just have a plain jane cash back card. it's the "free cash rewards" visa from bankone. $25 check for every $2500 spent on the card, including interest payments.

I'm still using my Citibank Driver's Edge card, mostly because I'm an employee so I get a great rate. My wife and I both bought new cars in the last few months and together we got about $900 back from them (she had the same card). It took awhile to build that up, but it was nice to get something back.

Citi Dividend Plantinum Select, 5% cash back at grocery stores, gas stations and drug stores, 1% cash back on everything else, no annual fee.

My drivers edge card earned points. then i bought my car, and i mailed them copy of title and registration and they sent me my points balance. it was $396.

not sure what you're talking about 2%.
