Credit Card Question

So here's the deal. I have a few credit cards - no biggie. One of them however is a "business card". I never actually signed up for it back in the day, the CC company actually called and asked if I wanted it. I said sure, since it was 0% for a year, and then the lowest rate I've ever been offered on a card. That wasn't a huge deal since I pay everything off the same month, or second month on rare occasion. I just like the points automatically given when used that are banked and then are redeemable in cash.

My question is, they just set me up with this card when I don't actually own a business. Are there any repercussions for this? I've had the card for awhile now and always wondered if it was just a prerequisite, or if they actually need business statements to prove something within a certain time period.

Maybe I'm a little paranoid, but I know how important credit scores are, and don't want mine to get messed up. Like I said, I have other cards, but I only use the one business one, as I get point doing so. I don't want to close it because it is by far my highest spending limit, and I know that plays a large role on your credit score as well.

Thanks in advance :)

Just be careful of carrying too high of a balance. They may magically close your account one day and you'll be responsible for the balance, if there is one.

Yeah, no balance issues at all. Out of an 11K limit, the most I've ever used was 3K. And I paid that off the same month.

Don't worry if it's a business card...I have a couple myself and I don't own a business.

I have a handful I threw in a AOR I did...no biggie. Worst they will do is close your account and even that is unlikely, they want you to keep it open.

If they came and asked you then there's no problem. But there's always free credit score checks just to make sure.
