Credit Card question

I am looking at getting another credit card with 0% APR to help me buy some stuff for my new apartment. I do not have a lot of stuff for it since I just graduated from college. Anyway, yhe thing is that I am not sure what to put on the application for my employer. Technically right now I am not employed as I just stopped working at my current job (from working while in school) and I will not start at my new full-time job until September. I want to get the card ASAP so I have it when I move in to my new place (in NC) but I do not want to put something and have my appication shot down because something did not check out right. I have good credit and I always pay off my balance on my current card each month. So, I would think that getting it would not be a problem....I hope.

maybe just write self-employed or independent contractor?

they don't really check companies worked for do they?

I didn't think they ever checked on your employers, but when I got my last card they actually called my boss to get ahold of me because they saw some "suspicious spending" on my account. Since I had gotten the card two days before, the suspcious spending was apparantly that I had used it twice.

i would put "student"

hell, i did that and citibank gave me a masters card with $3400 credit line. crazy... i've had discover and the amazon credit card (bankone) rejected my app months before...

Put the truth. I don't know about your state, but in texas, it is a felony to put false information on a credit application. I just learned this a few days ago when i was looking through the penal code for a class i had.
