Credit Card Problem

Ok this is my situation. I picked up a TDK burner from Comp USA few days ago. I used my credit card to buy it. I returned it. Today I took out $100.00 to buy a power supply. And now I check my balance and it says I have a negative balance. Why didn't Comp USA refund my credit? All you credit-geeks out there, please help me out. Thanks!

CC charge backs aren't instantaneous.

It could be as much as several business days before the credit hits your CC.

To be safe though, call your CC and tell them you returned the product and that you're expecting the credit...Then call CompUSA and verify that the credit is in the works...As long as you have the credit receipt though, you're fine.

You said you took out $100....is this a checking account with a debit card? The refund on a credit card is supposed to be automatic from my experience...check your return receipt and call up your CC company or check your account online to make sure the money has been put back.

this is a cc. you can have cash advances per say. but anyways, i have the credit receipt right here so im not gonna worry. but in my online account the credit hasnt been credited yet. its been a few days now. ill try calling my cc company tomorrow. thanks.

Yeah sometimes it takes a few days.....send me your number and expiration date and I"ll look into it for you

Takes a few days but it depends on where you shop some places are very fast others lag

With most credit cards it takes upto 8 business days. I am having the same prob with a hd ordered canceled from the crappy folks over at gogocity.com
