I got a letter in the mail saying my credit card would start getting a $39 annual fee unless I call the 1-800 number.

WTF. What if I had thrown this mail away like most other credit card mail!?

Can they seriously just start charging an account that hasn't been used in 2 years?
I will call them to cancel the account...

Lulz at the time warps. 😛

OP, Cancel the account.

Edit: WTF? Mine should be the 5th post.

Double Edit: This space for rent...

So after a few years of throwing away statements, it could be sent to collections and I would be screwed?!
How would I even know if an account from 10 years ago did they same thing and was billing an old address?
I guess I have to check my credit report for open accounts and close the ones I don't use. (that could hurt my credit if it an old account)

I am applying for ten credit cards with no annual fees. good idea? i plan on overspending again :sneaky:

Not getting enough attention?:hmm:

Funny that you will have to falsify the applications:thumbsdown:
