My limit is $1000. Never even came close to my limit either. It's usually around $200-250 a month, at most $500-600.

There's absolutely no meric in having a high limit credit card. I was offered a $15,000 last summer and I didn't even had a job. Simply based on the fact that I make over $30,000 a year. I declined because that is simply too much credit for my need.

Being offered a high limit and getting it are actually two different things.

Anyway, I was thinking about having my limit increased to 30K. Not that I'll use it, but never know when I might need it.

Absolutely, but they had studied my case before sending out that offer. I only had to proove that I was making at least 32k a year, and the rest had already been verified.

i dunno bout that. I was offered 50K limit once from a company. Then after applying, they said, only qualified for 8K. I'm like right, you can keep your card. I don't need it anyway. Its just a means to get you to agree to them checking your credit report.
