There's absolutely no meric in having a high limit credit card. I was offered a $15,000 last summer and I didn't even had a job. Simply based on the fact that I make over $30,000 a year. I declined because that is simply too much credit for my need.
Being offered a high limit and getting it are actually two different things.
Anyway, I was thinking about having my limit increased to 30K. Not that I'll use it, but never know when I might need it.

Absolutely, but they had studied my case before sending out that offer. I only had to proove that I was making at least 32k a year, and the rest had already been verified.
