I got a letter in the mail yesterday from my CC company. It's a letter that says something to the effect of "Did you ever wish you could write a check and pay for it later? Now you can." Enclosed were about 6 legit checks I could write and would be charged to my credit.
Then, I took out the second piece of paper, and it said the exact same thing... I was a little confused, until I realized it was not addressed to me... it was addressed to a woman a few streets away. The CC company had put someone else's checks in MY letter. If I were an asshole, I could just use this woman's checks and steal her money. WTF? Makes me wonder how much of my financial information is being sent to my neighbors. So strange.
IMO, they should pass a law against sending that kind of stuff in the mail. It's extremely unsafe, especially if they fail so hard at stuffing envelopes.
