credit card charge question

I had a charge on my credit card that I disputed. Now I'm getting some info from their investigation and it turns out that this charge is for some order that I placed 1 year ago. I returned the order and got refunded and now it looks like there's some glitch where they're trying to charge me again, etc. but I was wondering.. is there a time limit as to when they can charge me?

Yeah, I know... but the website that I returned the products to shows that I returned the order and got credit for it, so I'm not particularly worried. I was just wondering if there's a time limit for when they can charge me.

i think one year is the cutoff. amex underbilled me around $10k once. i was told to worry about keeping it for 365 days before anything else.
