That's about it...you might have to enable the digital out in the creative drivers/change the volume for the SPDIF(digital) connection.

What's the digital optical cable for? (You're aware that you will not need one if you connect your soundcard via digital coaxial like we're telling you about?)

If your LCD monitor has DVI or HDMI input, that's probably the best bet... although you still might have some issues getting the image just right. If your TV has an HDMI input, then yes, a DVI to HDMI adapter is what you want. You might have to adjust overscan to get the image to look right on the TV and possibly some other settings.

digital optical cable is from TV to my home theatre..thers no digital coaxial out on my tv..so..that sux..
and overscanning is done from my tv?..wat exactly is that? adjusting the width/height?

An inexpensive Digital Optical cable will work. I'm not sure if Monoprice ships to Canada, but if they do...

Your TV may or may not have overscan controls (my projector does) and you should be able to do something about it on the videocard output with your computer. Yeah, it adjusts the height/width of the image because TV displays often will cut off portions of the signal vs. a monitor that matches up with the edges exactly.
