Creative X-Fi Platinum $69.99 AR at outpost.com

good find. The link says Call for Availability--ordered one anyway. Creative has always been good with rebates, even $100 ones.

Were you able to find the PDF? The price is great, but I'm worried about ordering without seeing the TOCs of the rebate. The link for it is still dead.

rofl I just bought an OEM X-Fi from there hours ago for $70.. is it worth sending it back to get the platinum version? is that drive bay thing really useful or just a gimmick?

Great deal, but... No open 5.25" drive bay on my PC. If the rebate were for a smaller amount, I would have been upset.

Nice find. I've never had any luck with ordering from Fry's/Outpost, but the worst they can do is cancel it, so I bit.

the front panel is useful if you need to use the I/O or remote (oddly the firewire port is present on A2 ZS Plat's front panel, but not on the X'Fi's).

Thanks, looks like it's posted now. I'm in for one. Just need to make sure I cancel if this doesn't ship in a couple of weeks. Had the same situation with a PSU from Outpost. Had to cancel a week before the rebate expired.

Thanks, OP.

OOS on the very first day of rebate deal--LOL. But if OP has this rebate, Buy.com, which frequently offers Creative Lab rebates, will likely have a similar deal in the near future. Keep your eyes open, fellas.

I use the front panel for the I/O ports, extremely useful for headphone/microphone use as well. As far as the remote goes, its very disappointing because it is IR and not radio. IR might be acceptable for an HTPC where you can have it close to your TV/monitor and thus point it at the screen's direction, but for a desk it sucks having to point your remote under your desk to get it to work.

Does this rebate also work when I pick it up from Fry's retail store ?

Local Fry's has it at $199. It should be still a good deal AR, IMO....
