Creative X-Fi Mode Selection Hotkey?

I just purchased the Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic sound card. I am running it in my new living room Media Center. I really like the different modes this software package uses but for ease of use its a pain to switch between them from jumping between gaming and music uses. I am sure the 3 other more expensive models have that feature on the remote but without this card sporting another IR port can I find a way to switch the setting through software but somehow make it into a remote hotkey that can be assigned to a learning remote like the Harmony 880 I am using. Not sure if this will be the best forum to post in. I will check around for HTPC forums.
