This is very hot. I posted it being $199 without a rebate as a hot deal this morning.

I've had good experiences with Creative MIRs. The last one I got in I think right about a month.

Out of Stock now I think =( Rebate is good till August 1st though, so assuming they keep the price at $199.99 before rebate, maybe they'll get more in if anybody missed this.

WTH! of course a day after receiving the xtreme music that i thought was hot at $80, onboard memory is probably not useful, but the remote and breakout box are def worth the extra $40.

Just a note... this is a great deal, to be sure, but I had the original "livedrive" card, the SB Live Platinum, and I returned it a week after I got it to go with a Herc Game Theater XP, with a true breakout box. For me, having all the cables running from the front of the computer case wasn't very convienant. So just think about how often you'd use those connections and if you'd mind cables running from the front of your computer.

That's a great price for the X-Fi Platinum, and considering the only physical difference between this and the Platinum is the X-RAM (which seems mostly gimmick), this is certainly a fair price - not jacked up because it has some queer's (whom I'm sure we all envy) name and picture all over it... The extra parts you get vs. just the Xtreme Music version is worth ~$70 (as an upgrade if you went with the XtremeMusic version), so that plus the X-RAM = pretty good deal if you can use the extra features.

I got the X-Fi Platy version back in Jan 06 from CC at approx. $100ish via several rebates/PM. This is no doubt the best sound card I've ever had.

Pretty dang hot. But that's a big rebait. Seeing more and more of these... surprised Creative's offering so many deals on thier flagship products. Hope it's not because no ones really every gonna support/use x-ram.

the retail price is too high for most people. This is a great deal, as the best deal on X-fi extreme music (the lowest model) is about $80 AR. Creative is quite good with their rebates; I just got my $100 back for SB 2 ZS Plat ($69 AR).
