clearing inventory for recon3d's release, looks like this is happening everywhere
Looks like the Recon3D is some kind of external USB device for consoles and laptops? Does it supersede the Titanium HD PCI-E internal card?
still too pricey considering, imo.

Correct! This is like $30 off a $100 monster cable.

I will never understand ridiculous comments like this every time someone mentions a sound card. lol, I have to wonder if people like you have have proper hearing. onboard sound sucks for anything other than basic usage. in my last pc I kept thinking onboard was fine until I quite being ignorant and actually bought a decent sound card. it is a night and day difference.This.
lol, must me nice to be that clueless not to notice the difference. even a moron can tell the difference. I say that because I have no idea about most of the technical aspects put it pisses me off when people are stupid enough to claim there is no difference when it is crystal clear. there is absolutely no comparison between onboard and an extreme gamer card for audio in games and that is a fact or I sure as hell would not spend money on a sound card. the monster cable analogy is beyond silly.
I believe I have the highest end realtek available. it sounds just like ALL of the other realtek onboard audio I have used. What some people don't seem to realize is that higher end motherboards actually come with decent onboard sound.
My Operton motherboard's onboard sound was terrible. Shortly after I upgraded to Core2 my sound card died so I tinkered with the onboard sound. I was surprised at how good it sounded and til this day still use it.
My ears are just fine, by the way.
Speakers: Klipsch 5.1

again I am some not really an audiophile. I have no idea what 99% of the stuff they talk about even means. if I did not game, especially with headphones, then I could probably live with the onboard audio.Gotta love audiophiles, they never pass up the chance to join in a good catfight.
