Creative has ditched its affiliation with NVIDIA and has chosen to market its Creative Blaster 5 series of cards under the ATI flag. On offer are RX9700 Pro, RX9000 Pro & RX9000 64MB cards with the RX9000 Pro DDR memory clocked at 550MHz. This is surely a blow to NVIDIA who hoped to steal the ATI (mostly short lived) crown with its new GeForceFX cards. ATI appear to be making leaps and bounds in as far as consumer confidence goes with its new unified drivers improving with every release NVIDIA certainly have their work cut out for them.

Creative have been selling mostly ATi cards here in Asia for quite a while.

I wouldn't call 6 months a short-lived limelight to Ati for holding the performance crown.

I don't remember any Creative Nvidia cards since the TNT2. I guess people will be complaining about Creative's sound and video cards now?

I thought they had a GeForce2 Ultra or something, but yeah... no GF3's or anything higher that's for sure.

They did have cards after the GF2 Ultra. I saw them online a few months ago. I think they were either GF3 or GF4, but not positive which they were. This was way after hearing them purchase 3dlabs.

I just checked Google and they had both the GF3 and GF4 actually.

I feel bad for ATI since they will be associated with creative.

has creative worked out all its issues with drivers?

is hating creative out of fashion? :)

Good for ATi. I'm glad they are picking up some market share with deals like this. However, I never buy any cards that aren't manufactured directly by ATi.

My Creative GeForce 4 suggests otherwise on the only up to TNT 2 with nVidia. They outsource from MSI though I think. I wonder if they'll make their own cards with the ATi chips?

Haha, I agree with you there. I've got an Audigy, but I still think that out of all the major players in the PC business world, CL has to be the crappiest

I think other 3rd Party Companies may see Creative's move and do the same thing. I've been (for some reason) rooting for ATI every since the ATI Rage Pro (well, pretty much when I was old enough to what Video meant, let alone Video Card). Since then i've never bought anything except ATI. The reviews always said nVidia, nVidia! For some reason, maybe it was cause my dad always had an ATI board. I once had a Voodoo Banshee back in the days, but now we're getting off topic. Point is, I just wish I had put $70 into ATI's stock instead of 3Dfx

In the UK the Creative 3DBlaster GF4 Ti4600 is pretty easy to find.

now the soundcard and video card will be hogging the bus speed:)

I still hate creative for the Ge force annihilator 2mx card I bought back when I was not a informed consumer, I thought it was a regular ddr

Just 'cause Creative picked ATI doesn't mean I'm gonna pick Creative. Besides, I do not buy retail graphics cards. Leave that to the suckas.

I have a Creative TNT2 Ultra still going strong. Creative products always performed well for me. Good for ATI!
