These are extremely hard to find in stock since Creative clearance a year or so ago, but they're back. I know a lot of you guys have Nomad IIs from the emusic deal, and this is a great accessory.

Good deal, and yes they are hard to find. It doesn't charge the battery worth crap, but that is why I have my Maha charger anyway. As for moving songs back and forth, it is an excellent accessory and I highly recommend picking one up if you have a Nomad II. And hey, it looks cool sitting on your computer desk. HeHe

PeterPan, Amazon's been out of stock for as long as I can remember. Nomad sold them for alittle less last year but they've been out of stock since. If you need one, you'ld better buy it. Like the op said, these are extemely hard to find.

I've been looking since november. Tech Depot used to have these for $49.99 and sold out while I was thinking about buying!!! Amazon used to have a waiting list of 36 people, now there is only one, did they get some and sell out again? Shipping does suck!!!

Thanks a lot. I ordered two, one for me and one for a friend at work.

I also have the Maha charger, which is great, but this will be slick to have to ease the transfer process for the Nomad.

It comes with 1 NiMH AA battery.
My battery seems to have failed after 6 months, but nomadness.net says you can use any NiMH battery but you have to cut off part of the label (safety feature to prevent it trying to charge an alkaline).
It's very convenient. I highly recommend it.

acedaddy - go to Nomadness and get the drivers for the nomad from there. Also pick up JBCommander. It works fine with a Nomad II (even a 0MB one like I have). That software is a lot less bloated and invasive than creative's. It doesn't have that XP/AOL cutesiness that creative's software has, but I prefer the utilitarian look anyway.

Actually, if that fails, you can PM me and I'll zip up the install files from the CD and put them on some webspace for you.
