I recently picked up a Creative Labs GeForce 2 card with 32 megs of memory. I added it to my system Soyo 6vba motherboard, Intel 500E overcloced to 667, 128 mb generic 133 RAM. When I would try to launch Quake III or Unreal Tournament the system would lock hard when it tried to initialize the graphics engine for the games (after the splash screens). I was able to get it to work by disabling 2x AGP. Then it works ok but gets choppy in places. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Since you've overclocked it and the 500E is multiplier locked, you've upped the bus speed right? Maybe you could dial down the memory clock on the vid card?

As an aside, how did you force AGP 1x? Or did you disable AGP altogether?

The Soyo lets me adjust the AGP to 1/2 bus speed. Given the fact that the bus speed is 133 the AGP is running at 66. As far as the 2x AGP, there is a setting in the Bios to enable or disable AGPx2.
