I got a Creative Labs CDRW Drive 4224, and it works pretty dam good, not the fastest, but gets the job done.

You can get a 32x8x4 plextor for $159. I would rather have that.

I had one, it broke. Sent it back to Creative, sent me a new one, haven't had probs since then.

If you are going for cheap, www.compgeeks.com has 8432 Artec (I think it's a crippled Plextor? Maybe not?) for 109 plus shipping, like 5 bucks.

i might take a look at the other plextor deal, thats an IDE drive, right?
