creative gforce2mx ddr overclock ?

Hi guys,
Does anyone knows how can i overclock my gforce2mx memory? I read about the coolbits but i still cannot see the overclock option in my card properties. so ..anyone have any idea ?

You have to run coolbits first. It is a registry edit that allows you to overclock it by going into the hardware tab in the settings for your video card. Click here for Coolbits Oh yeah, and don't forget to reboot after running coolbits.

h guys finally i got everything right ....well i have another questions .... do i have to overclock the core speed? or just overclock the memory ?

You can just overclock the memory. Since the GeForce 2 MX is severely limited by memory bandwidth, all gains will be exclusively though increasing the memory speed.

The default speed is 286MHz for the Creative DDR....you will need to get the RAM speed up to 333MHz in order to match the performance of other SDR based cards, due to the 64-bit data path and inherent DDR latency.

can i overclock more than 333 ? from wat you mean is i dont have to overclock my core speed ...only overclock my memory ?

Overclock the memory as far as you can. I've seen one get up to 366MHz, but I didn't have time to try further. The DDR SDRAM on the Creative card is only rated at 7ns.....143/286MHz.

You won't gain much from overclocking the core.

well hui i got it overclock to 210 core speed and 333 memory speed... i think i need to overclock both to get it stable. I tried overclock memory only it wont works for mine ...when i overclock core speed as well itworks fine :p ......

Done through the coolbits hack for the Registry in Win2K....results should be similar to what you get in Win9x.
