Creative Audigy 2 ZS ~ $67 Shipped@eWiz

*sigh*...good find, but still waiting for this kind of deal for the PCMCIA version....Dell i8600 has crappy crappy sound out, and *no* sound in! Arg! 🙂

Thanks for your efforts, OP!

is this the one with the bay???? cus i went to creatives site and for the 2zs all it has is the platinum pro which im sure for the price probably isnt it

I paid less than that on the retail after flogging the games. There have been rebates on the retail recently so do some checking before jumping in.

I was wondering is the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum's Audigy Drive the same Audigy Drive as the original Audigy 2 Platinum Drive?

I wanted to upgrade my Audigy 2 Sound card to the Audigy 2 ZS sound card but keep the Audigy Drive if they were the same.

Does anyone know if they use the same Drive or is someting different since the ZS is 7.1 whereas the original Audigy 2 is 6.1?

Hey, check out the Creative website forum. Apparently, people there have been having a lot of noise problems with the Dell laptops and the Audigy 2 ZS Laptop edition.

for those who know nothing about sound cards.... what are these better cards good for? will this be a vast improvement for someone who has the old soundblaster live value? i use a standard 2 speaker setup and sometimes microphone/headphones (but usually the former). a one sentence answer would be fine, like "these cards just do better sound so just get one.. or these are good if you have a 6 speaker setup" 😛

thanks!
