So when is creative going to get off there a**es and release
liveware for XP???? The site just says late October.......
Anyone heard or read anything??
 
Well, their site used to just say mid october, but then they changed it to mid to late oct...
They (creative) told me that some people have had success with the win2k drivers, so of course I tried it... dont bother... it works... sort of... it eliminated the problem of eax being set to full in certain games, but the 30 seconds it added to my boot time, and the crashing during boot every other boot just didnt tickle my willy... Be patient my friend, creative will come through, eventually....
 
i can, you can do it different ways, a you can install older drivers and when it first installs select 4 speaker. And you can go to control and audio and select 4 speakers. I cant remember exactly what i did but i have quad support now. Don't know if this is exactly what you are talking about but i have not a real probelm after fixing the devlr32.exe from my creative card.
 
I installed the win2k drivers off my audigy cd & I have had no problems the last few weeks -this is on Winxp pro. A few days ago I updated to the leaked XP drivers-fixed a few minor issues & no major problems once again.
