I've no problem with religious representatives who understand the difference between personal private practice and their responsibilities to a larger community, but religion must adapt when there is sufficient proof that certain belief conflict with physical evidence, evolution and a young earth being the primary example. Again if they want to believe it, I think it's foolish, but whatever. My concern is when boundaries are broken and activism takes hold.
