Creating Photo CD

I take a lot of digital photo and wants to turn them into VCD/DVD with some software. I found couple that was able to create the VCD with a timer that change the picture every couple seconds. But htere is no way I stop it as soon as it started.

Anyone know a program that would make a photo CD and work just like slides that I can change to the next picture by pressing "next chapter >>" button....rather then have it auto chnge every couple secinds?

most new dvd players can play jpegs from a cd or dvd...no software needed. My panasonic (3 years old) does, and you hit the chapter button to advance or play to do a slideshow
