creating PDF from Paperport 7.. (or in general...)

my dad scans a ton of documents every day.... he uses visioneer paperport 7.0 and the output is a *.max file, he then converts the file into a jpeg, compresses it, and emails it out to whoever needs to see it. this is a hassle...

is there any way to scan directly to PDF? or to convert from .max to .pdf?

ANY input is greatly appreciated thanks!! 🙂

well there is a program called PDFCreator (freeware) It will create a new printer so when you print a file you can select the PDF printer. It will create a PDF of whatever would have been printed from paperport. Full version of Adobe Acrobat also includes a PDF printer.
