So I'm trying to create an installer here and company uses VISE as its a pretty standard industry product and can do a ton of stuff. Suggested NSIS but not enough people could learn it fast enough so I'm stuck with VISE. Checked with vise and so far cant find any good fixes.
That being said we are running into problems with all the firwalls and virus scanners out there. Installer does nothing more than install files and add a couple icons, no registry changes, no system settings, just a plain jane installer. However mcaffee (and a couple others) firwall looks at these vise installers and doesnt let them run. and of course this came prenstalled on these peoples machines so they have no clue what to say when we say "turn off your firewall". and thus people say our product doesnt work because the installer doesnt work.
So that story being said anyone have a good idea as to what i mgiht do to make this process work? In this age of virus scanners and firewalls and restricted user accounts its getting harder and harder to make installers that work for everyone
