I have not done one in a long time so im looking to do a crash course.. I know the old way of the <html> codes but nothing like today's flash/etc fancy stuff

Whats an easy thing to do, ie wysiwyg type of interface, throw up a quick site with a few menu buttons for address, directions, map, etc.

Yeah i really suck at this so I hope i'm asking for the right stuff.

I have hosted space already at host gator so Ill be allocating space for sub domain.. can host at other sites too if its cheap..

I just spend a few min trying moonfruit but it was not very easy to use. basically I need to communicate this to a friend and show them how to use it..

thanks

First, I'd look at using a CMS for managing the content. Then you just need to build a basic theme with html and css for the CMS to use.

I'd check out joomla, drupal, or wordpress.

I actually checked out joomla but it looks like its too hard for me to teach that to someone when I'm not too familiar with it.. i found this perfect one weebly.com, they have tons of templates and its point and click just enough to make a easy "wedding" website.. the friend is just hosting it for a few month and they can delete it off.. very easy to use and explain..

No need to get fancy on this. WordPress + free theme and you should be set.
