I'm not sure if I'm using the correct terminology, so let me explain what I am actually wanting to do.

I basically have two types of users who need two sets of programs on their computers. I'm in a growing company and at this stage I'm elected IT guy by merit of being least incompetent.

What I want to do is create the system that I want, and make it so that when I deploy a user, I just create their profile on the server in active directory and *Bam* - when they log on, they have firefox with the favorites I want them to have, they have our CMS software, they have our office suite, they have anti-virus, they have printers set up, etc.

I don't expect anyone here to write a script for me, but just would like to know what I'm looking for - what is it called - and if you have any advice.

Thanks.

Well... I didn't mean to cause anyone to laugh!

I could have sworn one of the things promised when we bought SBS 2003R2 a few years ago was easy deployment of programs. Oh well!

I might have to consider one of those programs.

theevilsharpie, one of the reasons I do our IT work is that I also enjoy learning about it. My company, and I can get away with it. :) It is frustrating at times though.
